The MooringSense project has updated the deliverables marking the consortium’s progress within the actions set out by the Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme. Particularly, MooringSense reviewed the two deliverables related to the data management of the initiative and the communication plan.
The deliverable “D1.4 Data Management Plan – Year 1” summarises all datasets collected and generated in the project during its first year of implementation. In this sense, the objective of this deliverable is to describe the MooringSense Data Management Plan, whose main purpose is to identify and explain the main elements of the data management policy to be used by the consortium for the project research data.
This data management policy has been defined according to the FAIR data principles (acronym referring to data that comply with findability, accessibility, interoperability and reusability) as defined by the European Commission in Horizon 2020, the Grant and the Consortium Agreement. Open research data generated in MooringSense will be deposited in the OpenAIRE open access repository.
The Data Management Plan details several aspects to consider, such as the different types of research data generated, collected or processed during the project, the standards and methodologies used, how the research data will be preserved, and whether the data will be open access for verification or re-use. All this information technically describes the main data sets of the project in full and individually for each work package.
The second deliverable published by the MooringSense consortium, “D8.2 Communication Plan v2”, contains the second update of the project’s Communication Plan, a document complemented by the Dissemination and Exploitation Plan. This planning describes the MooringSense communication strategy, the project’s visual identity, and the communication material.
One objective of the initiative is to showcase the innovative impact of MorringSense and detail the benefits of this research to European society and describe how it addresses the societal challenges related to decarbonisation and using alternative energy sources. Therefore, effective communication is established as a key point in implementing this international project.
